PINE BUSH, NY – October 2015 – The New York State Snowmobile Association (NYSSA) is now accepting proposals for Commercial General Liability Insurance and other insurance products. In New York State, more than 60% of snowmobile trails are located on private property, making a NYSSA insurance policy the first line of defense for landowners and private and governmental entities.
“With more than 10,000 miles of snowmobile trails around the state, a thorough blanket insurance policy is a priority for NYSSA,” said Dominic Jacangelo, Executive Director of NYSSA. “It’s critical we properly insure these trails for our clubs and landowners.” All public trails maintained by NYSSA’s approximately 230 snowmobile clubs will be covered by the policy, as well as those trails maintained by state employees within Allegany State Park and Letchworth State Park.
The Association is seeking a three-year policy contract. Applications are due by 3pm on December 14, 2015, with finalists chosen shortly after and a winner notified in January 2016. All questions should be directed to , Executive Director at NYSSA.
The New York State Snowmobile Association (NYSSA), a non-profit corporation, is the largest snowmobile association in the country working on behalf of the registered NY snowmobile owners, who contribute $868 million to the New York State economy, and 235 snowmobile clubs to improve trails, facilities and services for participants, and defend snowmobilers against discriminatory legislation.
